General Data Protection Regulation Policy (GDPR)

 

Introduction

JSDA is committed to keeping all information regarding individuals collected by the company secure and confidential.  To reassure you, any personal data that you give to JSDA will be treated in complete confidence.

 

Personal information from customers, supplies, business contacts, employees and other people the organisation has a relationship with or may need to contact are included as part of this.  

 

This General Data Protection Regulation Policy explains how personal data collected by JSDA is handled and stored in order to meet with new data protection standards – and to comply with the law.  

 

Data Protection Law

The Data Protection Act 1998 defines how personal information must be collected, handled and stored, whether it is electronic data, hard copies or other such materials. To comply with the law all personal information is required to be stored safely, used fairly and not disclosed unlawfully.

 

We implement all industry recommended precautions to protect any and all submitted and stored data, however JSDA accepts no responsibility for loss of data caused by persons with malicious intent, computer attack or infection.

 

Collected Data Information

Data collected by JSDA includes; name, date of birth, address, email address, contact number, emergency contact name and number and medical history.

 

Data is collected for a variety of purposes;

  • Processing sign-up information

  • Facilitating responses to queries

  • Business administration

  • Emails

  • Processing invoices and payments

  • Improving customer service

  • To ensure customers wellbeing and prevention of injuries

  • Marketing – Use of images – photography and video – including via social media - collected by JSDA with written and express consent 

  • We may also use information ‘Users’ provide about themselves when placing orders, to provide service to that order.  We do not share this information to outside parties, except to the extent necessary to provide the service

  • For the use of 'Track & Trace' purposes only

 

JSDA collects personal identifiable information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit JSDA's website, fill out the ‘Contact Form’.  Users are asked to fill out information regarding; name, email address and contact number in order to contact JSDA, if they wish to voluntarily submit information to us.  Users may, however, visit our website anonymously. We will collect personal identifiable information from Users, as long as they voluntarily submit such information to us.  

 

When Users interact with our website, we may collect non-personal identification information including browser name, type of computer and technical information regarding Users connection to JSDA's website.

 

Use of Cookies

Our website may use ‘Cookies’ to enhance our visitor’s experience.  A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web Page Server and can sometimes track information.  Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.  They are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.  Visitor’s may choose to refuse or alert cookies when prompted by their web browser – if the visitor to the website does so, some parts of the website may not function properly.  

 

Sharing Personal Information

JSDA does not sell, trade or rent Users or customers personal identification information to others.  

 

When entering into events, competitions and shows, details of Customers are required by various business partners, trusted affiliations and advertisers.  Information may be handled by third party processors on our behalf.  Business partners must demonstrate compliance with all current legislation and General Data Protection Regulations.

 

Retaining Personal Information & Data Security

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our website.

 

Sensitive and private data exchange between the website and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

 

Third Party Websites

Users may find advertising or other content on our website that link to the sites and services of our partners, supplies, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties.  We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our site.  In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing.  These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

Right to Withdraw Consent

Each User has the right to withdraw consent from our policy at any time.  Any request to withdraw consent should be submitted electronically in written form, clearly stating a request of withdrawal, to;

Requests will be passed onto any third party data controllers and all stored data will be removed from all systems within 10 working days by JSDA.  If Users wish to withdraw consent from any images or videos, please include URL links and as much information as possible, in order for JSDA to help with the request.

Should you have any complaints regarding personal data in a fair, proper and safe manner and believe JSDA have not abided by this policy – you may submit a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office at the details below;

JSDA has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time.  When we do, we will update at the bottom of this page.  We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect.  You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of any modifications.
